West County Winds is a 501(c)(3) non-profit adult wind ensemble that has been delighting audiences since 1985. The band has grown over the years ot over 50 members and performs in a variety of musical styles ranging from classical to contemporary and popular.  This exceptional group of musicians performs three main season concerts per year throughout fall and spring, and makes additional appearances at civic events in Contra Costa County and Golden Gate Park.

The ensemble rehearses Mondays, 7:30 – 9:30PM, from September-May at Contra Costa College in San Pablo.  Contra Costa College sponsors the group and participation is offered as a non-credit, tuition-free course on the college campus.

If you are interested in joining West County Winds,  please contact Geoffrey Gallegos, the Artistic Director and ensemble’s conductor.  Participation and enrollment is limited and will be determined by the group’s instrumentation needs.  Musicians should be prepared to play music at a college or advanced high school level of proficiency.
