about our MEMBers

West County Winds’ 50 woodwind, brass, and percussion players come together from locales around the San Francisco Bay Area to share their musical passion with local communities. The group’s diverse collection of players covers numerous professions and training backgrounds, with ages ranging from twenty-somethings to octogenarians. A core group of players have been with the organization since its inception in 1985, while new members come and go as their busy lives permit. The organic nature of the membership, exciting repertoire and strong direction have kept WCW flourishing through the seasons.
